Moving to Facebook .......

I rather would advertise in an old fashioned local newspaper but hey, you have to keep up with the rest of the world so I've created a Facebookaccount under the name of "Range Rover barn" . Perhaps shift from the Blog to Facebook with the same content!?

Range Rover Classic convertible ....

Somebody interested in a Classic convertible? Roof is missing so maybe have to fabricate something yourself. Very smooth engine and runs for miles on a gallon.....

Another Tuscan blue bites the dust ........

Hate to say it, but another Tuscan blue Rangie less on the road.......Would have been about 35 years somebody's soulmate and today it ended at the scrapheap. Fortunately, heaps of parts went to other Rangies........

Oldskool Lucas part?

Don't know for sure, but I guess these are the Lucas covers for the early foglights you would find on the early Rangies?!

"put the kettle on, dear....."

Somebody in Finland has been creative and switched from petrol to a wood burning Rangie! Don't know how many trees on a gallon, but I guess we'll be running short quickly in the city...
It's actually for sale:  http://www.nettiauto.com/range-rover/vogue/2946197

Holidays with the Range

Just came back from the holidays with my Masai red Range Rover and just wanted to share this picture during our safari..........

Bubble Car

Found an original Bubble Car grille for the Classic in very good nick! Bubble Car was an Italian company that made this grille for the RRC in the late 70's out of plastic.

the passenger seat...

Some people not always have a passenger next to them, but sometimes also a complete V8 for their Rangie....
I wonder how things end when taking a roundabout at 50mph.......

Wood and Pickett?

Just got these Afghan mudflaps to put them on my Rangie. I'll bet Wood & Pickett never had these in their programm when they shipped the Range Rover to the Middle East......

Range Rover Classic Wood&Pickett 2-door

A '74 RRC with Wood&Pickett stuff. Raised leather covered dash, 4-speed auto and Weber carbs.
Customed in the 80's and forgotten for a while but yet a daily driver again! Not in new condition but good solid base so restore. For more info: rhjmelis@gmail.com

NOS doorseals , RRC 2-door

Becoming hard to find; 2-door doorseals. During a small clean-up I came across 4 seals and 2 of them are even NOS! I guess these are ready for the showcase....

Losing weight...

Some people trying to lose weigth to go faster but this seems a bit too radical.......Maybe the prototype of air vented brakes!?

Monday, 20 February 2012

Never actually knew, but seems this is a complete ashtray with the chrome insert which is always on the loose.....

Wood & Pickett

Newby that's going to stay :) Can use a bit of TLC but still worth refurbishing and get her on the road again!

Two Classics......

Wow! look at this! Two great classics. If the picture was taken in sepia, I would say it was taken in 1983....

Wired......

Always good to see that nobody has ever taken off the dash to install something themselves.....
Finally they blame Lucas for the failures.

Sad but true....

This '86 Rangie won't hit the road anymore. After 25 years of bringing a family home save, pulling the trailer from one town to an other and climbing hills with a deep V8 grunt, it's the end for this one. Luckily she donated a lot of her parts to other RRC owners.....

War and Piece

Came across this red beauty at the War and Piece show at Billing this year.......

Sunday, 31 July 2011

chained up...

Some people don't trust the manufacturer and use other ways to keep the exhaust in place........

Thursday, 28 July 2011

Easy does it.....

Whether you need a car to pull your trailer, don't want to get stuck in the mud or just want a babe-magnet, a Range Rover Classic easy does it.......
